BODOSI Dániel

I was born in 1913, in the small transsylvanian town Baraolt, in a family of peasants with seven children. I graduated school in my town, at that time a village. Since 1917 I worked as a joiner in Sf.Gheorghe and Brasov.
After ten years of work I had an accident and my right hand became crippled. I started to paint after this event. It was important to me the encouragement of Imre Nagy, who remained my model forever.
Between 1941-44 I studied at Budapest Art Academy as a disciple of Gyula Rudnay. In this period I took part on collective exhibitions in Budapest and created on the colonies of artists at Baia Mare, Pecs and Esztergom.
In 1944 I returned to Baraolt. In the fourties and fifties I projected posters and stage arrangements.
In 1994 I was initiated as a honorary freeeman of the town Baraolt.
